Job Description

The responsibilities of the Clerk of the Works/On Site Representative - Traveling

  • Act as the Owner's Representative, ensuring owners interests are represented on-site during all phases of the project.
  • Oversee the General Contractor (GC) to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with objectives, safety protocols, and project guidelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, adherence to design specifications, and quality control.
  • Report project status and issues to the Director of Construction.
  • Collaborate with the GC, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
  • Travel to project sites across Ohio, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Georgia, as needed, with per diem and accommodation provided.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Clerk of the Works/On Site Representative - Traveling

  • 10-15+ years of experience managing ground-up construction projects, ideally in industrial or federal sectors.
  • Proven ability to oversee projects up to $50M, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule goals.
  • Strong understanding of Procore and MS Project for project tracking and management.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Experience working with contractors from an Owner's Representative or Clerk of the Works role.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different project locations.
