Job Description

  • Respond quickly to new market opportunities by rapidly creating organic waste programs for new and existing retail clients, including assisting in the development of complex proposals.
  • Fully understand the company strategy and vision for the Organics Solutions/Retail Sales team and use this knowledge to help scale and drive new market opportunity response results.
  • Implement best practices to improve team performance, including devising an approach to scale at a rapid and high-volume pace.
  • Full understanding of customer needs. Develop efficient processes and system upgrades to streamline in field customer pickup data from time of pickup to customer portal. Working with Logistics, Sales, Ops, IT to create, refine, implement these changes.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met. Manage data, portal, systems to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Develop SOP's and trainings for VR Logistics teams that encompass all retail customer requirements.
  • Provide feedback to Logistics team on feedback received from customer and develop a comprehensive plan on improvements to this feedback. Roll out, track and manage to the finish line.
  • Work in tandem with operations, logistics, strategic partnerships, and sales

The Successful Applicant

Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant experience in servicing and managing large volume retail clients
    • End site capabilities and thresholds
    • Hauling applications and shipping requirements
    • Equipment types / applications
    • End site processing requirements/operations
    • Strong organic and non-organic waste stream knowledge
    • Project management experience
  • Proven ability to take a concept, utilize an array of resources, and bring it to full expression.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proposal writing and development
  • P&L and financial acumen
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel 25% to engage with current and prospective clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in environmental logistics and total waste services strongly preferred.
  • Experience in organics management strongly preferred.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of financial business concepts including financial analysis.
  • Experience with cross-functional leadership and management.
