This company is a well-established aerospace manufacturing firm located in New York City. They specialize in the intricate and precise machining of essential components for the aviation industry, serving both commercial and defense sectors. Their expertise lies in producing high-reliability parts critical for aircraft functionality, such as those found in landing gear and hydraulic systems - contributing to aircrafts from F-16s to 787s.

Job Description

  • Write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts on 2, 3, 4 and multi-axis MAZAK and OKUMA machines.
  • Create and compile necessary documents to aid machine set up.
  • Develop appropriate tooling for different operations.
  • Analyze customer prints and develop models of customer parts.
  • Aid in managing product workflow from raw material to finished product.

The Successful Applicant

  • Must have CNC machining knowledge of milling, lathe machines.
  • Must have a programing background using Mastercam or related software.
  • Must be able to create part geometry to develop turning and milling CNC programs.
  • Must be proficient with GD&T.
  • Preferred: college degree in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
  • Preferred: familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within metal fabrication environment.
  • Preferred: 5 years plus working in a related role.
