Recently, they have put a large emphasis on technology investment resulting in the installation of state of the art equipment across the entire plant.Job DescriptionReport to the Director of Engineering and work alongside 3 other Manufacturing EngineersLead in optimization of set-up cycle times and improvement of productivity standards by teaming with operators and set-up personnelProgram, set-up, and troubleshoot CNC machineryWrite G-code and new programs on machinesWork with customers on APQP and PPAP requirementsReview customer specifications and drawings for manufacturability and cost.Communicate with customers as needed to ensure their product requirements are met.Provide technical support to customers on issues of design and manufacturing.Recommend design modifications to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability.Create Work Order Travelers as needed in support of manufacturing operations.Write specifications for design, testing, and manufacturing of hand tools.Design mold tools for silicone over-molding.Work on decreasing cycle times; develop ways of machining medical instruments and implants.Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on external and internal complaints to improve processes.Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.Perform process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
