One of their business units is a leading supplier in their niche and are actively searching to identify a new Commercial Financial Analyst to join their growing team.Reporting directly into the Assistant Controller with tons of communication and support from the Accounting & Finance team, you will be partnering with the Sales and Engineering teams to provide financial support. They are wanting to offer tons of mentorship and training to this individual as you will have a fast career progression to move up within their organization.Job DescriptionServe as the primary finance partner to management for the forecasting and planning system.Lead the collection, consolidation, and publication of Annual Plan and Long-Range Plan (LRP) revenue forecasts by Business Unit.Oversee and reconcile monthly revenue reporting updates, incorporating changes from market research data.Manage customer price recovery reporting and forecasting, while tracking material cost impacts to ensure commodity price changes are continuously monitored and reflected across the customer base.Conduct product mix and segmentation analytics to support ongoing updates to the divisional Segmented Profit & Loss statement, identifying margin performance and growth opportunities.Act as the primary finance partner from a commercial perspective in developing financial models and analyses for customer quotations, including participation in quote reviews.Oversee the planning and reporting of sold orders and assess their impact on Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) bonus calculations.Provide insights into the conversion of sold orders to revenue to improve forecast accuracy and conversion rates.Serve as the key finance contact for the preparation of the Commercial Tooling budget and support selected capital tooling requests.Partner with Commercial Finance on financial analyses and contribute to Annual Plan and LRP reporting.Identify and recommend opportunities to improve, streamline, or eliminate departmental processes and tasks.Support additional commercial-focused finance projects as needed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
