Job Description

  • Advise employees and ensure timely communications on benefits plans, policies, and options available in-line with applicable federal, state, and local legislation

  • Manage the full benefit cycle of employees including , terminations, and pay rate changes

  • Manage oversight of all record-keeping, reporting, disclosure, and compliance requirements in accordance with regulatory guidelines and record retention policies

  • Handle claims review, assist with claims processing, and validation of compliance with all required documents

  • Act as facilitator for audits by providing records and documentation
  • Maintains active and proactive approach to keeping current on existing and future relevant employment laws

  • Work on any other special projects as assigned

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human resources or related field

  • 3+ years or related experience

  • Knowledge and cadence for staying up-to-date on emerging employment legislation and codes of practice governing health and life insurance administration

  • Knowledge of full cycle payroll functions including preparation, internal control, and payroll taxes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong acumen for handling information with confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR a plus
