About Our Client

International, well known and highly thought of, sovereign wealth fund. This is a hybrid role, working closely with their international legal and compliance team, responsible for US ethics and compliance related to restricted securities.

Job Description

As Compliance Manager Counsel the varied role is responsible for:

  • Ethics and compliance for restricted securities
  • This is a strategic role working directly with the business, senior stakeholders and legal/ compliance group internationally
  • Advising on ethics & compliance matters, ensuring the US operations of the fund are in line with the organizations well established international and local ethics & compliance guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Single point of contact in the US, working closely with the NY office and team on local implementation of the ethics & compliance framework

The Successful Applicant

The successful Compliance Manager/ Counsel will have demonstrable skills/ experience:

  • 9-12 years experience in restricted securities ethics & compliance work
  • The client is open to industry background: asset/ wealth management, consumer, pharmaceutical/ health-care, energy/ mining, technology/ telecommunications or shipping
  • Certification of Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or equivalent
  • Previous work within large, matrix, international organizations
  • Strategic mindset, hands-on approach
  • Highly collaborative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
