Construction Assistant Project Manager - Greenbelt, MD

My client is seeking a motivated Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of construction experience. You will assist in managing interior renovation projects, including K-12, government, and city projects under $10M. This position offers hands-on exposure to fast-paced construction management with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Track project schedules, budgets, and materials procurement to support on-time, on-budget delivery
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
• Support project managers with documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting
• Help troubleshoot field issues and coordinate timely resolutions
• Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
• Assist in managing labor and equipment resources effectively to maximize productivity
