Our client is one of the oldest and most established general contractors here in the Chicagoland area. 70% of their work is repeat business and they do work in 16 states. They are one of ENR's top 40 contractors and their total annual revenue is about $350M. They complete work in Healthcare, Hospitality, interiors, education, senior living, and institutional. They offer a good work life balance with summer hours and an outdoor roof deck.

Job Description

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders within the project including the GC, Super, Client, etc
  • Maintain work flow and strong relations with subs
  • Maintain and organize field documents ( Drawings, specifications, etc )
  • Coordinate subcontractors, daily project paperwork, review and adhere to project schedule
  • Maintain daily reports to submit to Project Manager and or Prime contractor daily
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the entire scope of work, including plans, specifications, logistics, materials, equipment, submittal and other requirements
  • Maintain project photos of all phases and features of work
  • Maintain entire job site in neat and orderly manner
  • Assure good housekeeping practices are employed in all areas

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field
  • Team player with a positive and driven attitude
  • Has interest to estimate change orders, pay apps, etc. but does not need to be able to bid projects from scratch
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Desire to further career as a Project Manager
  • OSHA certified
