Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsPremier commercial general contractorHealthy pipeline of projects in the greater Sacramento regionAbout Our ClientSacramento based commercial and industrial general contractor that constructs and manages a wide variety of projects including mixed-use residential buildings, affordable and student housing, community facilities, tenant improvements, and large-scale site work like cafeterias, housing facilities, manufacturing spaces, and warehouse/distribution buildings.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead projects from first estimate through formalization of subcontracts.Determine scope of work and required contents of estimates by reviewing proposal specifications, drawings, attending pre-estimate meetings, and analyzing request for proposals/bid requirements.Provide complete conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids.Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and labor figures.Assist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.Track awarded contracts as required including estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials on major work items.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
