Job Description

The Owners Project Manager is responsible for:

  • All stages of project management from planning through completion including: design, construction, permitting, furniture procurement, occupancy, quality control, staffing, scheduling, and budget
  • Ensuring project milestones are met
  • Overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Contract negotiations
  • Utilizing project management softwares to manage project details and timelines
  • Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contributing to the growth and culture of our expanding team

The Successful Applicant

The right Owners Project Manager has the following qualifications:

  • 4-10+ years of experience (hiring for Senior APMs, Junior PMs, and PMs)
  • OPM background
  • Must have project controls and financials experience, budgeting, scheduling
  • Strong background in education projects (ideally higher ed)
  • Degree in construction management, business, or engineering
  • Previous experience interacting with clients in the academic, healthcare, or corporate sectors
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency of Microsoft and construction industry software platforms such as Procore
  • Ability to understand design process and architectural documents
  • Capacity to prioritize in a composed and professional manner
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to commute to New Haven CT daily
