About Our Client

A strong GC is looking for a results-oriented PreConstruction Manager with experience in construction planning, estimating and project management to join their team in Georgetown (Austin), Texas. This fast-paced department aims to provide professional preconstruction and virtual construction services for Commercial, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare and Municipal projects ranging from $100K-$100M in construction costs.

Job Description

Solicit and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
Prepare and submit proposals, within time-frame and following up until closed
Facilitate an effective hand-off to the project manager, engineers and architects
Monitor budgets throughout the construction process
Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders.
Update & maintain accurate pipeline reports, track leads, bookings, forecasting, reporting
Build out a small department of other estimating professionals
Flexible enough to handle some project management duties
Ability to lead from the front
Utilize technology to actualize on effective project and cost delivery

The Successful Applicant

Minimum of five years of experience as part of a preconstruction or construction operations team
Professional degree in construction management or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction technology, architecture, business administration)
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
Technology: Proficiency with Assemble, OST, CAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project
Preferred Experience with Revit, Sketchup, Bluebeam and Procore, Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods
Must live in Central Texas (Austin area).
Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
Expectations: Attention to detail, excellent communication (written and verbal), strong organizational skills, ability to interact as part of a team
