This construction and development firm has been in operations for over 40 years. Their business has grown through the years and are now a $200M a year company. Most of their work can be viewed throughout Central Ohio with the majority of their projects being in the multifamily, private education and industrial construction industries.

Job Description

As the Construction Project Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support to construction staff
  • Review plans and documents
  • Monitor costs and project progress
  • Oversee submittals and RFIs
  • Assist Project Manager in day to day functions
  • Answer questions regarding scope of work
  • Visit job sites occasionally to check on project progress
  • Help produce project schedules
  • Track status of change orders
  • Maintain project close out documents
  • Other duties as assigned depending on Project Manager or direct supervisor

The Successful Applicant

Candidates applying for the Construction Project Engineer position should have:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • 1-3+ years of experience working with a construction general contractor
  • Tech savvy individual; working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam a plus
  • Ability to commute within a 40 mile radius of Columbus depending on project location
  • Co-op or internship experience working with a general contractor preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
