The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Job Description

  • Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on safety, scope, schedule, and budget throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Review and approval of vendor scope of work, and design review of site and building plans.
  • Manage all submittal approvals, RFI's, RFP's, SWA's, EWO's, PCO's, Material Procurement.
  • Define scope and drive the overall project plan throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and manage the project plan to provide a complete picture of project health and progress throughout all phases of the project lifecycle; actively manage critical path. Report project status to leadership and client at defined times.
  • Ensure daily activities undertaken on the project are executed in accordance with the approved project plan and firm-approved standards and practices.
  • Develop, monitor, manage and report on project budget/economics throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget.
  • Ensure that all required resources are assigned to the project and clearly tasked with the appropriate tasks, deliverables and project related activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the project team, project leadership, and client.
  • Identify and manage key project-related issues and risks in collaboration with the assigned owner(s); Quickly and efficiently devise a solutions plan to keep project schedule on the forefront.
  • Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with appropriate members of the project team and ensure that meeting agendas and meeting minutes are produced and distributed to attendees and other necessary parties.
  • Implement and ensure that the project closeout process is done on each job, which includes an electronic file with all necessary documentation included and in an organized and standardized fashion.
  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate future sales opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field experience.
  • 0-5 years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site experience in the management of new construction and the renovation of an existing structure required.
  • Detailed knowledge of the construction process, budgeting, accounting and procurement in order to manage a construction project required
  • Computer skills with MS Office suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, and project management software.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Strong worth ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Work collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff.
