Job Description

The Construction Project Manager - Ground Up - North Jersey will:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of ground-up construction projects, from pre-construction planning through to project completion.
  • Develop, manage, and update project schedules to ensure deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.
  • Control project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial targets are maintained, including working closely with accounting teams for accurate forecasting.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all project components are aligned and progressing according to plan.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, project stakeholders, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of work, resolving any issues or delays promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Review and approve construction documents, change orders, and submittals in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure project progress and address any issues or concerns on-site.
  • Maintain and manage all project-related documentation, including contracts, RFPs, reports, and project close-out documents.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Project Manager (Construction) candidate will have:

  • Must have a proven track record of successfully managing industrial and commercial projects, ideally ranging from $10M to $50M
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field
  • Strong experience with budgeting, scheduling, and managing subcontractors is essential, as well as the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to be client-facing and be highly praoctive and communicative
