Job Description

  • Manage full project lifecycle for K‑12 and institutional projects in the Charlotte region.
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and cost management.
  • Lead OAC meetings, maintain client relationships, and ensure consistent communication.
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to maintain jobsite safety, logistics, and workflow.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners to maintain schedule and quality.
  • Review drawings, submittals, change orders, RFI logs, and monthly project reporting.Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations in Charlotte.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Project Manager should have:

  • 5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • K‑12 project experience strongly preferred; higher ed or municipal experience also relevant.
  • Proven track record managing $15M-$40M+ ground‑up or major renovation projects.
  • Strong tenure - stable employment history required.
  • Background with reputable GCs; experience on institutional projects ideal.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, scheduling, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Local to Charlotte, NC, or willing to relocate.
