About Our Client

This firm is a growing General Contractor, as well as an OPM firm. They are almost doubling in size going into 2021. They work heavily with lab/life science projects up to $100M as well as OPM on capital projects - up to $800M. Work all over New England but majority of projects are Cambridge, North and West of Boston, Portsmouth NH, Western Mass - essentially all around the 495 belt. Most employees have large scale project experience. Currently at over 60 employees, and looking to grow by 15-20% each year.

The Project Manager Lab/Life Science Projects will be responsible for:

  • overseeing multiple high-profile projects at a time
  • representing the firm in a positive, professional light at all times
  • managing 1-2 more junior colleagues in the team
  • working closely with the client, construction team, and architect to achieve the project objectives

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Project Manager-Lab/Life Science Projects will have:

  • At least 10 years of Project Management experience
  • Experience leading their own projects
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Past project experience in the lab/life science space
  • Previous experience with MEP or HVAC (Preferred)
  • Experience running larger projects
  • The ability to hold all parties accountable on site and taking the leadership role at all times
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction procedures
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CPM Schedules
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering Related Field
