A highly successful General Contractor in the Michigan market is looking for a Project Manager to work on their Mixed-Use, Commercial, and Multifamily projects. Job Description
- Work with the client from the start of each project to ensure you understand the project scope and vision
- Manage a group of Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Oversee the beginning of each turn-key project, including details like permit submission and design evaluations
- Reviews project proposal, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
- Collaborate with the architect and construction crew to ensure feasibility of each project
- Conduct meetings on-site with architect, client and construction crew
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and submit project estimates to clients

The Successful Applicant
- 7+ years of Project Management experience
- Experience in Multi-Story Multifamily Construction
- BS in Construction Management or equivalent preferred
- Must have strong computer skills and be well versed in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additional preference given if experienced in Microsoft Project, P6 Primavera, Cosential, On-Screen Takeoff
- Experience overseeing a team
- Ground-up construction experience required
- Additional preference given to Project Managers with strong knowledge of Detroit subcontractors
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
