Job Description

This role will oversee the execution of assignments that are larger, more technically complex, and more time sensitive.The Project Manager will:

  • Develop and manage the site safety and logistics plans for a complex life sciences construction project
  • Complete job safety documentation as required by corporate safety program
  • Oversee the work of vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Managing the stages of construction
  • Schedule and manage sub-contractors, or delegate
  • Monitor plans and material take offs for work in place values
  • Perform site inspections, evaluations and provide a report of those inspections
  • Support the Project Manager in coordination meetings with trade subcontractors onsite
  • Oversee startup and commissioning activities of assigned trades
  • Serve as the on-site manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome of a life sciences construction management project
  • Supervise the project staff including multiple APMs, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.

The Successful Applicant

The Project Manager should have:

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5-10 years of Project Management experience on healthcare or life sciences projects valued at $50 million or larger
  • Expertise with cleanroom construction and bio-pharmaceutical laboratory construction
  • Experience with bringing a project from the ground up through to completion
