Providence, Rhode Island Permanent USD100,000 - USD150,000 per year View Job Description
We are partnering with a well‑established New England general contractor to hire multiple Mid‑Level Project Managers to support a growing portfolio of public and institutional work across Rhode Island and Connecticut. This is an immediate need for professionals who want long‑term stability, meaningful projects, and the chance to build a strong local reputation.
  • Recession‑proof, publicly funded project pipeline
  • Long‑term career with a stable, values‑driven builder

About Our Client

Our client is a family‑owned, ENR Top 400 contractor with over 100 years in business and a strong presence throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. While the broader organisation spans materials, aggregate, and heavy civil work, this role sits within their vertical building division, which focuses on publicly funded and institutional construction.
The firm is known for exceptional employee tenure, leadership stability, and a commitment to hiring people they can keep long term-not project‑to‑project. Their work historically remained strong even through economic downturns due to a heavy concentration of federally and publicly funded projects.

Job Description

  • Manage multiple vertical construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out
  • Own project scheduling, budgeting, cost controls, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and internal field teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract documents, and project milestones
  • Lead project meetings and serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders
  • Support quality control and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Contribute to long‑term client relationships and repeat public work
