Job Description

  • Serve as the lead Project Manager onsite for a ground‑up municipal facility.
  • Manage all core PM functions: budgeting, scheduling, buyout, cost tracking, and closeout.
  • Lead RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate sitework, utilities, and early‑phase construction activities.
  • Partner closely with the field team and off‑site Senior PM for strategic oversight.
  • Conduct owner meetings and maintain strong relationships with public‑sector stakeholders.
  • Support preconstruction and transition planning for future Carolinas projects.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on all assigned work.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • 2-3+ years of experience as a Project Manager (or strong APM ready to step up).
  • Experience with ground‑up construction and sitework required.
  • Experience on projects $20M+ preferred.
  • Exposure to light industrial or public‑sector projects is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable operating as the sole onsite PM with remote executive support.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with owners and inspectors.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of outcomes.
  • Local to Charlotte or willing to work full‑time onsite.
