The company prides itself on accountability, diversity, teamwork and excellenceJob DescriptionGeneral Contractor seeking a Project Manager to join their construction team. The Project Manager is a key figure of the project team, and is responsible for the overall success of a project. This person must possess excellent leadership skills, as well as be able to successfully set, observe and re-evaluate project priorities frequently. The PM will have the following day to day responsibilitiesResponsible for overseeing the efforts of all project activities and personnelCoordinate with Estimating Department to formulate award schedule for trades during pre-constructionAcquire a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives; review all project documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, scope of work and constructions scheduleCoordinate and facilitate both internal and building kick-off meeting with all key participantsPrepare and issue project documents including progress reports, detailed project schedule updates and financial/budget updatesInitiate periodic meetings and other forms of communication with project team members and/or client as appropriate to acquaint them with unresolved problems and to ensure an adequate degree of coordination as needed between disciplinesForecast and track the amount of labor, managerial and material costs necessary to complete a projectPerform project status reviews by monitoring project schedule, submittal/RFI logs and open itemsMonitor project scope for changes affecting budget and/or schedule; identifies cause, advises client and negotiates changes in fee as appropriateManage project budget, minimize and track expenses; provide finance reporting as neededEnsure timely and accurate invoicing, monitor receivables for project as well as subcontractor pay scheduleEnsure subcontractors provide certificates of insurance that meet contractual requirements prior to mobilizationResolve subcontractor claims during subcontractor close out periodEnsure punch-list completion and Department of Buildings sign offOrganize and deliver project close-out/As-Built documentsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
