The Safety Director is responsible for the entirety of the safety program, meaning they will be developing, maintaining, and implementing training for all safety standards on-site for a portfolio of national projects. This person will be the primary point of contact between the field and leadership team. The goal for this role is not simply to uphold existing safety procedures, but to continually recognize areas for improvement and foster a culture of safety on all job sites.

Job Description

  • Oversee entirety of the safety program, reporting directly into the Vice President
  • Training and planning can minimize errors in our day to day. Effectively developing and implementing our safety plan is a key component of this role and crucial to our success
  • Constantly innovating and updating is also a crucial component of our safety plan
  • Work collaboratively with office and field staff to ensure safety across the board
  • Work collaboratively with other staff
  • Bring problems to someone's attention as soon as they are discovered
  • Help where help is needed
  • Regularly check in with field staff while visiting job sites and report back if there are concerns or questions

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Safety preferred
  • OSHA 30 Certification
