Job Description

Construction Senior Estimator - Manhattan, NY

    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including quantity take‑offs and pricing.
    • Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals to ensure scope coverage and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with project management and preconstruction teams on budgeting, value engineering, and bid strategies.
    • Maintain cost databases and historical pricing for future projects.
    • Assist in subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and proposal preparation.
    • Support the development of project schedules and risk assessments during preconstruction.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Senior Estimator should have:

    • 3-7+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a general contractor in NYC.
    • Strong knowledge of commercial construction trades, materials, and cost drivers.
    • Proficient in estimating software and Excel; familiarity with Procore or similar platforms is a plus.
    • Highly detail‑oriented, analytical, and able to work under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors.
    • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
