Job Description

My client is seeking an Senior Project Manager with substantial experience in the construction industry, particularly in commercial construction.

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and handover, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and other key personnel, fostering collaboration and efficient workflow across all project phases.
  • Budget Management: Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance while identifying areas for potential savings.
  • Scheduling: Create detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work complies with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory codes. Implement quality control measures and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, including contingency planning and issue resolution throughout the project.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Address concerns and manage expectations.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring terms are fair and projects remain on budget.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site. Stay updated with local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and financial forecasts to senior leadership and clients

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
  • Experience with commercial projects
  • Proficiency in PlanGrid, Ranken, and Bluebeam highly preferred
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and positive work environment
  • Excellent management skills in budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Ability to coordinate and lead diverse teams, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Skilled in adapting to changing project requirements and conditions
