Job Description

The superintendent will be responsible for:

Project Management: Review and interpret contract documents including architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
Team Leadership: Manage daily field operations including subcontractor coordination, trade sequencing, and schedule updates.
Documentation: Produce RFIs, maintain construction logs, write daily field reports, and communicate effectively via email. Take and file daily progress photos to document project milestones.
Safety Compliance: Conduct regular safety meetings (Toolbox Talks) and enforce construction safety practices.
Schedule Management: Coordinate between various trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
Quality Control: Monitor quality assurance and ensure compliance with project specifications.

The Successful Applicant

A successful superintendent will have:

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent in construction.
Strong background in masonry or carpentry is highly preferred.
Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents and blueprints.
Familiar with CPM scheduling and capable of communicating progress to scheduling consultants.
Competent in using Excel and generating clear written correspondence.
Professional demeanor with the ability to interface effectively with owners, subcontractors, and unions.
