Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize workstations to streamline material movement and enhance overall productivity.
  • Develop improved material handling and dispensing methods to reduce labor demands and prevent poor body mechanics.
  • Apply time and motion study techniques to determine staffing needs and balance workloads within work cells.
  • Create standardized work procedures for each operator position by SKU or product family, ensuring ease of training for diverse production teams.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to devise and implement automation solutions.
  • Introduce and utilize ergonomic assessment tools to enhance workstation design and reduce injury risks.
  • Contribute to the management and improvement of the safety program.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within high-volume manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with DMAIC, PFMEA, SolidWorks, Tableau, Value Stream Mapping, 8D, and Process Mapping.
