Job Description



  • Assist With:
    • Employee FMLA process and unemployment claims
    • Administration of company compensation and benefits program
    • Managing the employee on boarding and exit process
    • Inter company expatriate/international talent program and Immigration process
    • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, performance management
    • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
    • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices

    RECRUITING

    • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers and supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings
    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verification's for on-boarding
    • Extend employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings and ensure a successful on-boarding experience

    TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional license, and aptitude exams and certifications.
    • Assess training and development needs of staff through communication with department heads, managers and staff interviews
    • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of on-boarding, orientation and skill based training for employees
    • Present training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos
    • Maintain records of training and development initiatives, activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements
    • Acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials

The Successful Applicant

  • Undergraduate Degree or related professional/HR work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in Human Resource Management/Administration, Talent Acquisition, Training & Development, Benefits Administration, Reporting or other established HR related functions
  • Extensive Human Resource Management knowledge, including applicable state, federal and New York City employment related laws, to ensure the company's compliance with all applicable employment regulations
  • Capacity to exercise independent judgment with discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional organization
  • Knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking environment and activities preferred
  • Bilingual in English & Italian is a plus
