My client is a charter school (elementary and middle school) located in Long Island City, Queens that serves about 650 across grades K-8.

Job Description

I. Staffinga. Support the team on developing and implementing a comprehensive Recruitment &
Selection program that attracts top talent and reflects values, mission and
vision, which may include but is not limited to: developing an org-wide strategy that is
data-driven and incorporates best practicesII. Recruitmenta. Develop and implement the full recruiting cycle, including but not limited to providing
consultation to managers & staff around the hiring process, developing and
implementing a marketing strategy, serving as point-person for candidates
a. Collaborate with HR Specialist on job descriptions and candidate-facing benefits
materials; develop and maintain external facing job postings on various job recruitment
sites, education job sites, and online platform(s)
b. Perform outreach to and develop relationships with colleges, universities, professors and
organizations yielding strong candidate prospects
c. Reach out to prospective candidates regarding job opportunities
d. Coordinate presence at career fairs, including but not limited to researching
opportunities, training ambassadors, scheduling staff, attending career fairs
e. Collaborate with the Administrative Coordinator to design promotional materials

III. Selectiona. Develop and implement the full selection cycle, including but not limited to providing
consultation to managers & staff around the selection process, developing and
implementing the selection matrices, conducting candidate interviews and reference
checks, extending job offers, and serving as point-person for candidates and new hires
ion Squad members,
recruitment consultant, and Hiring Committee Members, employ strategies in developing
team and cultivating the team, which may include but is not limited to participating in
regular check-ins during recruitment peak periods.
b. Supervise and support individual team member's professional development and job
responsibilities, which may include but is not limited to providing coaching, feedback,
training and helping to manage conflicts as appropriate
d. Serve as backup for and provide support to each member of the team, which may
include but is not limited to answering incoming phone calls, making/distributing copies,
fielding inquiries, other tasks.VII. Staff-Wide Professional Expectationsa. Embrace and be an ambassador of the mission, vision and values
b. Collaborate communicate and maintain effective and professional relationships as
member of an interdisciplinary team of educators, support staff, and administrators
c. Participate in required meetings and events, which may include events, school

d. Meet expectations related to punctuality and professionalism including but not limited to
reporting to work on time, following the appropriate call-out and lateness procedures,
timely responding to emails, consistently meeting deadlines and communicating
appropriately on progress on projects and goals.
e. Proactively and appropriately seek assistance and/or guidance when faced with
challenges appropriately provide and receive feedback to/from parents, faculty,
classroom assistants, support staff, and administration
f. Reflect on professional practice through self-reflection and engagement in informal and

The Successful Applicant

Position Qualifications:

Education:● Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
● 2-3 yearsofexperience working in an office environment
● Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in content area
● Preferred: Experience working within a nonprofit organization or school preferred

prioritization of tasks, self-organization, managing up, and efficient time and task management
● Ability to gather and analyze data using defined and differentiated processes
