About Our Client
I'm partnered with a client that is looking to fill a Financial Controller position near Bartlett, IL. Our client is a global, multi-million dollar manufacturing company. They have been around for over 20 years and have been growing year after year, becoming a leader in their niche.
Job Description
- Manage all aspects of accounting, including month-end close, cost and inventory accounting, AP/AR, tax compliance, financial statements, revenue recognition, budgeting, billing, etc.
- Oversee an accurate and timely month/quarter/year-end close
- Lead the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate monthly account reconciliations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support the budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare financial statements and reports for senior leadership
- Comply with regulatory state and federal laws regarding tax filings
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to prepare information for audits
- Manage a team of 3+ individuals by providing training and development needed
- Support the overall finance goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives
- Additional duties as needed

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA required
- MBA a plus
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Cost and inventory accounting experience preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years of managerial experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Suite (Excel) skills required
