My client is a global, multi billion dollar manufacturing conglomerate with a focus within the Automotive space. They're a leader within the industry, and have been in business for decades. This is a rare opportunity to join their business at an Executive Level and truly serve as the most Senior Accounting & Finance leader is their largest North American Business Unit.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement or risk.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Supervise accounting staff and manage day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Analyze product costs and profitability to optimize manufacturing processes and pricing strategies.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support business operations and investment activities.
  • Monitor banking relationships and optimize banking services to minimize costs and maximize returns.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives and achieve company objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to anticipate potential impacts on the business.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, MBA, is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Experience within the Manufacturing Industry, Automotive experience would be a huge plus!
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and drive results.
