Additionally, they will lead various strategic projects to improve efficiency and support the company's long-term growth. With significant exposure to senior leadership, this individual will work closely with the President and collaborate across departments. They will also manage a team of two.Job DescriptionController Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, along with daily reconciliations and tracking key performance indicators.Develop, refine, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to align with business goals and strategy.Evaluate financial performance to pinpoint opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.Supervise cost accounting functions, ensuring precise tracking of labor distribution, material usage, and production costs.Maintain and enhance the standard cost system to reflect production activities accurately.Provide financial insights into pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and inventory management.Collaborate with operations and production teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.Conduct detailed variance analysis on production costs and implement corrective actions as needed.Ensure accurate inventory valuation and participate in cycle counts or annual physical inventory audits.Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and relevant industry standards.Implement and monitor strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.Coordinate external audits by preparing necessary documentation and facilitating the process.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and financial analysts.Foster a culture of continuous learning and process improvement within the department.Work closely with divisional leadership to fulfill financial reporting requirements.Serve as a financial advisor to company leadership, providing insights to support decision-making.Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and proactively address challenges.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
