Job Description

  • Review and present financial reports accurately and promptly; effectively communicate monthly and yearly financial statements; gather financial documentation for lending purposes, and manage all financial responsibilities.
  • Lead and manage the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and evaluating necessary changes.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in cost accounting practices.
  • Oversee and manage the annual budgeting and planning process in alignment with the Strategic Plan; review and administer all financial plans and budgets.
  • Manage fixed assets and prepare capital budgets.
  • Conduct research and implement strategies for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Supervise inventory control and manage the physical inventory reconciliation process.
  • Maintain a strong track record of setting priorities, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to facilitate sound decision-making.
  • Commit to training programs that align with and enhance both individual and organizational goals.
  • Work closely with State and Federal Agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Manufacturing or related industry experience
  • Management experience needed
  • Hands-on experience as a Controller
  • Cost exposure nice to have
  • Audit start/background nice to have
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the existing team
  • Ability to work independently as well
  • Attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at once
