About Our Client

My client is a Philadelphia based firm specializing in the Management and Development of a variety of mid to large-scale properties around the Greater Metropolitan Area. They seek a Financial Controller to support their accounting needs as their business booms!

Job Description

  • Manage project-specific and company-wide accounting and bookkeeping
  • Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly financial reports for review with our operations teams
  • Oversee global AP/AR for cash flow management
  • Prepare budgets and maintain budget-to-actual reports
  • Work with our asset management team in review of property level financial reporting
  • Work with our construction management team on construction billing and accounting
  • Prepare partnership investor allocations, capital call notices and distributions
  • Oversee bookkeeper/admin to maintain books and records
  • Coordinate with 3rd party tax advisors on the preparation of Partnership and K-1 returns
  • Preparation of monthly draw requests results and reviewing them with the management team
  • Work with risk manager on Partnership and Property level insurance requirements and risk mitigation

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years experience in the area, CPA Preferred
  • Proficiency with current financial software, Rent Manager experience preferred
  • Experience in real estate, property management or construction accounting preferred
  • Experience with real estate taxation preferred
  • High Level Proficiency with MS Excel
  • Ability to relocate or reliably commute to Philadelphia, PA
