Job Description

  1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgetary plans, and long-term financial goals aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
    • Identify growth opportunities, potential risks, and cost-saving measures to drive sustainable financial performance.
    • Provide recommendations on capital structure, financing options, and investment decisions.
  2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, performance metrics, and analysis to the executive team and the Board of Directors.
    • Identify key financial indicators and drivers, offering actionable insights and proactively addressing any financial challenges.
  3. Financial Risk Management:

    • Implement robust financial risk management strategies and frameworks, ensuring the company's exposure to financial risks is effectively managed and mitigated.
    • Monitor and assess market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that could impact the financial stability of the organization.
  4. Treasury and Cash Management:

    • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure efficient financial operations.
    • Develop and execute strategies to optimize cash reserves and investment returns.
  5. Financial Compliance and Governance:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain a strong internal control environment and work with external auditors to conduct financial audits.
  6. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA a plus
  • Proven track record as a senior finance/accoutning executive in the trading algorithm or financial technology industry OR 7+ years in the BIg 4 plus corporate experience
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
  • Experience in leading financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services sector.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
