Based in Addison, Illinois, our client is a well-respected construction firm with over 75 years of experience across industrial, commercial, residential, healthcare and auto interior projects. Our client needs a strong leader within accounting and finance to establish processes, as the team has strong aspirations to grow and expand in the next few years.

Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements, month-end close, cost allocations, job costing, and EBITA analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage budgeting and forecasting, and Work-in-Progress reporting for budget management.
  • Conduct job profitability analysis, operational revenue recognition, and monitor cost control for projects.
  • Perform daily financial tasks and documentation such as AR/AP, invoicing, reconciliations, and GL transactions.
  • Manage the financial software, establish internal controls, and identify ways to improve internal processes.
  • Collaborate with CFO and leadership team to present financial reporting.
  • Ensure tax reporting compliance and audit preparation against local, state, and federal tax regulations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting/finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Proven experience with EBITA analysis, strong understanding of the importance of this metric and how to utilize this through daily tasks
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
