Description

  • Oversee the close process for 70 entities ranging in size and complexity
  • Manage the review process for journal entries during month-end, quarter, and annual close processes, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of account reconciliations while maintaining high quality standards for their completion
  • Review and analyze actual performance against budgeted or forecasted performance and prepare interpretations and reports in order to explain budget variances
  • Handle payroll and benefits administration for a small number of leadership employees
  • Advise and alert senior leadership and key managers to variances and trends in financial performance which may require management attention
  • Lead the accounting group providing coaching, training, and development to build a high performing team focused on technical excellence. Develop a positive and inclusive culture encouraging and rewarding innovation and accountability
  • Be a change agent, drive process & systems improvements to drive efficiency, best practices and automation as the Company evolves
  • Act as a thought leader by providing analytical insight and support to ownership

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of relevant Accounting experience
  • CPA with advanced education being a plus
  • Big 4 or public accounting background
  • Passion for learning the Real Estate industry
  • Strong leadership and entrepreneurial mindset
