About Our Client

Our client, a world renowned manufacturer/distributor of world-class products, has operations globally and a significant and growing presence in the US. This position reports directly into the Controller, the Cost Accountant will have the autonomy to take full ownership of all cost accounting operations to set the company up for continued growth!

Job Description

  • Perform inventory valuation analysis
  • Collaborate with business units to help develop, implement, and manage streamlined cost standards
  • Analyze manufacturing operations, including equipment utilization
  • Oversee cost month-end close
  • Perform cost life cycle and benefit analysis
  • Maintain cost accounting system and ledger

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in Cost Accounting
  • Manufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience required
  • Proficiency with accounting software and/or ERP implementation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
  • Exceptional GAAP knowledge
