About Our Client

Our client is a large international bank with a very reputable background.

Job Description

· Initial screening of potential leveraged loan investments, including review of transaction structure and credit documentation

· Carry out detailed analysis of target investments, including in-depth assessment of business models and investment risks

· Build complete financial models covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements

· Participate in calls and meetings with corporate borrowers (or potential borrowers), arranger banks (including sell-side research analysts) and other market participants

· Assist with ongoing monitoring of existing investment portfolios, including reviewing company reporting and benchmarking relative value opportunities

· Prepare investment committee materials and other materials for risk assessment and related tasks necessary for transaction execution at the direction of head office

· Eventually develop an in-depth knowledge of select sectors that have significant leveraged loan issuance

· Interface on a continuous basis with head office

· Comply with all NYDFS, FRBNY, and Japanese regulatory requirements

The Successful Applicant

BA/BS degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related business areas

· Financial analysis experience in the leveraged finance or investment area

· Strong analytical and financial modelling skills and solid understanding of financial analyses and financial accounting

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing a professional, error-free work product

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Keen to work in a cross-cultural, cross-border environment, including the ability to work across multiple time-zones

· A very high level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· Strong sense of accountability and commitment to achieve team goal
