My client is looking to fill a Logistics Manager in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. They are a growing organization looking to double their revenue over the next three years. My client products service hundreds of different industries (Apple, Google, ConAgra, local Governments) and have been deemed as an essential business. They are looking for someone who can manage daily shipping and distribution operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner and help transform their logistics operation.

Job Description

The Customer Fulfillment Manager will lead all aspects of the Customer Fulfillment operation, including managing the processes for handling all customer orders, overseeing the execution of outbound deliveries to customers and coordinating customer pick-ups, and managing the order-to-cash process.Work with Scheduler, Production Supervisors and Quality to coordinate timing for outbound shipments.

  • Oversee orders receipts and product allocation with the Customer Operations team; direct workflows for orders processing and team alignment to customers, channels, and products.
  • Manage daily operations to achieve target metrics for Fill Rate, OTIF, and cost-to-serve, among other metrics, focused on Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost for the North America Supply Chain operations.
  • Lead Customer Operations teams, including full-time employees of Whole Earth Brands and external organizations supporting Sales and Customer Service.
  • Own day-to-day operational relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to execute on fulfillment plans in line with the service level and cost targets.
  • Define customer allocation and prioritization roles aligned to Sales and Commercial strategy.
  • Proactively identify and communicate inventory shortages, and coordinate with Product Supply and Sales to identify recovery options and timing as necessary.
  • Lead systems architecture for business needs to manage the consolidation of multiple teams, systems, and processes across existing brands and warehousing locations.
  • Identify, define, and guide implementation of processing improvements across physical and digital processes from receipts of orders to delivery of goods to customers.
  • Define and lead the implementation of process improvements on existing order-to-cash processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 7-8 years' supply chain experience, with at least five years in customer logistics or customer fulfillment roles.
  • Minimum five years' experience in FMCG industry, with experience in food preferred.
  • Experience with retail, club, and e-commerce channel customers required; experience with foodservice channel highly preferred.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in SAP related to orders fulfillment, warehousing and transportation recording and reporting required.
  • Experience with third-party warehousing and transportation providers required.
  • Keen focus on process improvement and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team located across multiple office locations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel knowledge and skills.
  • Bachelors' Degree required, with a preference for degrees in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
