Job Description

  • Review and approve product return requests by evaluating eligibility based on company policies and issuing RMA numbers for approved returns
  • Administer and process RMAs from all customers, ensuring timely and accurate handling of returns
  • Provide customer support regarding the RMA process, return status, and options for replacement or refund
  • Guide failure analysis efforts by working with engineers to investigate returned products and prepare technical reports
  • Interface with external customers and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and maintain strong communication
  • Perform data mining and reporting on RMA performance metrics such as parts per million (PPM) and cycle time to closure
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with factory quality and manufacturing teams to address product issues
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures to maximize product quality and minimize costs across departments

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred but not required)
  • 5-10 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, ideally in a technical role focused on failure analysis
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities within technical operations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating with managers, engineers, and customers
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports related to RMA performance metrics
  • Experience driving corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with quality and manufacturing teams
  • Familiarity with production procedures and quality standards to optimize product reliability and minimize costs
