Job Description

  • The Customer Support Specialist is a key member of operations, working closely with the Stock Loan desk and with the settlements team.
  • Performs all functions of Loanet, DTC, OCC stock loan hedges, mark to market reporting and balancing. Perform returns, rate changes, and recalls.
  • This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Monitor trade flow and ensure processes are functioning properly. Identify and assist in resolving trade discrepancies and breaks both internally and externally. Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Back up DTC settlement function as required
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for system upgrades and/or rollouts of new functionality. When required, cross train to provide coverage for different product lines.
  • Handle or assist in the handling of buy-ins and corporate actions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility;
  • Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as described in the policy;
  • Escalate risk events immediately and log them within 24 hours using the risk event capture form on the intranet;
  • Provide input if requested to the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process, scenario analysis, 'Deep Dive' reviews and any other risk management processes, as required.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong PC skills, with a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • DTC Settlement Web, Loanet and OCC stock loan hedge program.
  • Previous experience in stock loan operations
