Job Description

Data Center Superintendent Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of data center construction from ground-up through commissioning.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Manage daily site operations, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Interpret and apply architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, track RFIs, and review shop drawings and testing reports.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports including progress photos, weather conditions, and manpower logs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and local officials to resolve issues and drive solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets while maintaining high standards of quality.

The Successful Applicant

Data Center Superintendent Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial ground-up construction; data center or mission-critical experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and commissioning processes.
  • Ability to manage complex schedules and coordinate multiple trades.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable using construction management software and Microsoft Office tools.
