Job Description

Responsible For:

  • Develops and maintains accurate documentation for automation equipment and processes.
  • Assists in equipment procurement and installation.
  • Collaborates closely with production and engineering teams to communicate recommendations and facilitate design changes.
  • Designs fixtures and tooling, troubleshoots product and process issues, and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
  • Implements problem resolutions and improvements, focusing on cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
  • Ensures manufacturing processes and equipment meet capacity and capability requirements and comply with safety standards.
  • Researches and develops new processes, equipment, and product introductions (NPI).
  • Participates actively in cross-functional meetings to foster collaboration across departments.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in designing and supporting automated systems for over 2 years in production settings.
  • Collaborates within a team of skilled Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Holds a Green Belt with Lean training.
  • Known for their strong work ethic, positive demeanor, and dedication to excellence.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Requires proficiency in computer skills, including programming and software development.
  • Essential problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with a flexible approach to evolving technologies.
  • Must have expertise in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; familiarity with Project Management, Risk Assessment, and Design of Experiments is advantageous.
