Job Description

  • Demand Forecasting: Implement statistical models, leverage historical data, and incorporate market trends and sales/marketing insights to forecast product demand accurately across different dimensions (e.g., customers, products, production lines).
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to recommend replenishment schedules, ensuring a balance between minimizing excess inventory and fulfilling customer demands.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage closely with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams to consolidate data, align on demand forecasts, and devise strategies for inventory optimization.
  • Data Analysis: Examine demand patterns, sales data, and market trends to identify enhancement opportunities and improve forecasting models.
  • Forecast Accuracy: Maintain forecast accuracy metrics, aiming for continual improvement through process optimization.
  • Risk Management: Detect potential forecasting risks (e.g., seasonality, market fluctuations) and devise plans to counteract these risks.
  • Communication: Effectively disseminate demand forecasts, inventory recommendations, and insights to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and market dynamics to identify and implement process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in demand planning, inventory management, or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, QAD) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and demand planning software.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively across diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities concurrently.
