The client has developed and sold nearly 70 projects with an established portfolio across Central and Western ISOs and place importance on culture for the growth of their team to operate.

Our client is a leading developer of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the U.S., specializing in solar, energy storage, and data center development. With a track record of over 11 GW and an active pipeline exceeding 4.5 GW, they manage the full project lifecycle, including site selection, interconnection, permitting, and financing. Over the last 8 years they have developed and sold over 60 projects. The Project Developer will focus specifically on solar and BESS projects in the ERCOT market.

Job Description

Seeking a Development Analyst to be responsible for:

  • Collaborating in the management and execution of the development of utility scale renewable energy projects from greenfield to NTP
  • Collaborate with engineering team and external consultants to evaluate site layouts and constraints, technology options, schedule implications, interconnection applications and studies
  • Direct and conduct due diligence on development-stage project and portfolio acquisitions, including comparison and prioritisation of multiple opportunities based on common siting and permitting
  • Manage external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns
  • Manage external stakeholders supporting property and sales tax abatement efforts
  • Manage occasional permitting activities with support from other team members
  • Prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses

The Successful Applicant

  • Two (2) years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects - preferably solar + storage.
  • Impressive track record and experience in development of renewable energy projects
  • Previous applicable experience operating in ERCOT (PJM, MISO and WECC experiences are a plus)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-task, make decisions, prioritize, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to work and communicate effectively with a cross-functional internal team, vendors, consultants, various project stakeholders, authorities having legal control, utilities, state agencies etc.
  • Bachelor's degree required
