This position supports senior development team members and is involved in various stages of project development, including site acquisition, financial modeling, due diligence, design, entitlement, construction, and leasing.

Job Description



  • Project Management and Coordination:
    • Assist in managing multifamily real estate development projects from site selection to construction completion.
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and legal teams to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
    • Help organize project meetings, track progress, and coordinate activities across teams.


  • Site Acquisition and Due Diligence:
    • Support the team in identifying and acquiring potential development sites.
    • Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and financial analysis to assess the viability of potential properties.
    • Assist in the preparation of due diligence reports, including zoning, environmental, and title research.


  • Financial Analysis and Modeling:
    • Develop and maintain financial models, pro formas, and investment analysis for multifamily development projects.
    • Assist in evaluating project costs, financial returns, and overall project feasibility.
    • Help prepare financial reports for senior management, investors, and other stakeholders.


  • Permitting, Entitlements, and Compliance:
    • Coordinate with local municipalities, regulatory bodies, and legal teams to ensure all necessary permits and entitlements are secured for projects.
    • Ensure compliance with zoning regulations, environmental laws, and building codes.


  • Design and Construction Oversight:
    • Support the design process by working with architects and engineers to ensure the project aligns with design and budget goals.
    • Monitor construction progress, addressing any issues related to scheduling, costs, or quality control.
    • Track project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects stay on track financially and schedule-wise.


  • Vendor and Consultant Management:
    • Assist in sourcing and managing relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, and other vendors.
    • Ensure quality and timely delivery of services from external partners.


  • Market and Tenant Research:
    • Conduct research on local real estate market trends, including rent comps, demographic trends, and tenant preferences.
    • Provide insights on design, amenities, and pricing that will attract prospective tenants.


  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Prepare internal and external reports on project progress, financial status, and other relevant metrics.
    • Maintain regular communication with senior leadership, investors, and other stakeholders regarding project status and financial performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 1-3 years of experience in real estate development, preferably in multifamily projects.
    • Experience with financial modeling, market analysis, and project coordination.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of real estate development processes, particularly in multifamily housing.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (experience with ARGUS or similar software is a plus).
    • Ability to work effectively within a team, as well as independently.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Preferred:
    • Knowledge of Dallas/Fort Worth real estate market.
    • Experience with project management software, such as Procore, Buildertrend, or others.
    • Familiarity with zoning, entitlement, and permitting processes in Texas.
