About Our Client

My client is an established, boutique and vertically integrated real estate developer with focus on projects Downtown Boston. The team is currently looking to add a Development Manager to the team.

Job Description

The Development Manager will directly report into the VP and have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform entitlements, permitting, marketing and construction management of existing projects
  • Procuring due diligence material, produce financial projections, investment memorandoms
  • Manage processes from land acquisitions to project completion across various asset classes
  • Oversee the entire project life cycle from start to finish and be the main point of contact for 3rd parties
  • Perform effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5+ years experience in real estate development
  • Managed full cycles from conception to completion including zoning, permitting, entitlements, bidding (established relationships with the town for such purpose: Boston location)
  • Underwriting investment opportunities if needed or ability to relate to the Investment Manager and Asset Mgmt. team regarding that process
  • Experience to commercial projects (different scales and sizes), as well as potentially exposure other asset classes
  • Ability to manage construction counterpart and be firm if needed
  • Ability to evaluate economic impacts/viability for the owner/developer
  • Outgoing personality, positive energy, self-sufficient, well-rounded
  • Open to an in-office work environment
