This real estate development firm has a strong pipeline of projects across the greater Atlanta MSA. This individual will support the project execution of projects from pre-construction through stabilization but will also be involved in pursuit/pre-development activities.Development Manager Responsibilities:Work with the Construction Managers and external GCs on completion of all project requirementsManage you projects' overall underwriting and create and update financial proformas using Excel or other softwareManage projects as required by permits, governmental codes, and established industry standardsEnsure the design and development of plans meet company and Tenant requirementsWork with various jurisdictional and municipal authorities to obtain proper approvals and permits, handle overall entitlement process for projectsBid out architect, engineering, and consulting contracts to qualified companies, and thoroughly evaluate all bid proposalsManage the financial draw and reporting process with lenders and equity partnersDirect architects, engineers, consultants, and activities to meet project schedulesWork with the Construction department on the transition of projects from permitting/entitlement to constructionMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate for the Development Manager position will have:Bachelor's or Master's degree in the fields of Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Finance, Engineering, Architecture, Project/Construction Management or related field5+ years of work experience in above listed fieldsExposure to a variety of mid to large size development projects within the residential sector.Experience handling design, due diligence and zoning/entitlement process for development project.Strong technical and interpersonal/communication skills, ability to work in a diverse and matrix environment.What's on OfferStrong basic salary plus upward mobility and access to other variable compensation.
