They are a leader in the development world, and have been extensively growing for over 20 years. They are seeking a Director of Construction to come on board and solely manage large projects. Job Description
- The Director of Construction will be responsible for:
- Manages, oversees and coordinates architectural and design services and tasks
- Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and reviews project management activities with regard to design and construction Resolves complex, design and construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements
- Being sole person responsible on-site
- Working directly with architects day to day
- Working with budget given by President
- Help choose the narrative of the project and be part of the decision-making process for choosing the correct general contractor for the project

The Successful Applicant
- Extensive experience with managing and overseeing development of design guidelines, planning, programming, design development and construction documents
- 10+ years of experience in Project Management of multiple design and construction projects; experience within multi-family/ hospitality projects required
- BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Experience with Microsoft platforms, and reading blueprints
- CCM, LEED, or PMP certifications preferred
